JoAnn paints in a realistic manner with a soft impressionistic style, primarily with oil as her medium of choice.
Living in the North Fork area, she creates her art work surrounded by all the natural beauty of Sierra mountain scenery. JoAnn wanted to live in an area that brought inspiration to her paintings, which she enjoys capturing the beauty she sees.
JoAnn started her art career in the mid 1970’s when she purchased an art studio in Huntington Beach,which was known as Braman’s Art Gallery. The Gallery employed three Art teachers and JoAnn started teaching art classes to adults and children.In 1984, JoAnn sold her Gallery and moved to Bakersfield where she devoted her time to painting and teaching art classes at Sue’s Art Barn.She moved to the North Fork area in the 1990’s.
She’s been focused for many years with teaching art to children in the North Fork Elementry School District. Currently, JoAnn belongs to the “North Fork Art Association”.
